Peradventure
As the two Toad Cultists (apparently clerics?!) went to open up the cages full of stirges and feral toad-men, Lunethalas acted quickly to Web the cleric and the stirges all in one go, as Kirilov and Amity quickly climbed to join him, Amity lifting the others up before herself.
A massive melee was entered, with feral juvenile toads biting at everyone, including the cleric that freed them. Both Kirilov and Amity succumbed to those teeth, suffering death briefly before being returned by two more doses of the healing waters.
The party released the human prisoners, with Kirilov doing enough to assuage them to stay and wait to make an escape together, at least, and to hold arms, though they would not seek out combat.
Miraculously, they managed to find a night's worth of sleep without interruption, after Amity piled the cages to block the main approach from the east.
The next day, they determined to cause destruction to the vats of toadspawn eggs and a statue of the Toad-God in the next cavern. They elected not to fuss with the accompanying alchemical equipment for the moment.
As expected, their noise drew further attention, though the three priests who arrived were quickly dispatched by Amity after Lunethalas used his spells to put them to sleep and further wrap them in webs.
In what seemed to be the final chamber in this section of the caverns, a higher-ranking priest stirred some of the vile alchemical concoction into a pool with the cavern's tadpoles. The party quickly brought him down, carving through the tadpoles themselves on their way to him.
The priests quarters and that priest they met had some interesting stuff on them!
